Waterpark Assistant

Coventry Sports Foundation are looking for a number of Waterpark Assistants to provide cover and assist with supervision of the waterpark and ensure that our customers are always in a safe and healthy environment when they visit the centre, whilst maintaining tidiness and hygiene of the waterpark, dry sports facilities and auxiliary area.

You will be part of a team who will be responsible for providing a friendly, relaxed and professional experience to all. You will need to have good communication skills and customer service.

It is essential that you are an enthusiastic person with a willingness to learn new skills.

The principle place of employment will be the Wave Waterpark and successful applicants for these positions will be required to cover days, early mornings, evenings and weekends, therefore a flexible attitude is essential.

Reporting to: Duty Manager and Waterpark Supervisor


Coventry Sports Foundation and Culture Coventry Trust are operating as CV Life, so that the scope of this Job Description as a CV Life document extends to cover the employment of employment contracts held with either Coventry Sports Foundation or Culture Coventry Trust.

Overall purpose and objective of the role:

To assist the Water Park Supervisor & Duty Manager in the daily operation of the Sport Centre’s facilities and activities

Main Duties of the Role

  1. To attend training/refresher courses as appropriate to maintain knowledge and understanding of the Waterpark facilities.
  2. To assist with maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the Centre and its surrounding site at all times.
  3. To continually refer to booking sheets and dismantle equipment as appropriate.
  4. To gain experience and obtain governing body qualifications in a range of sports/activities.
  5. To provide assistance in aspects of coaching and session delivery.
  6. To contribute to the professional development and guidance of Further Education and Work Placement students.
  7. To become familiar with the various procedures of reception duties, including all administrative aspects of record keeping and filing.
  8. To visit venues outside the Centre as required to promote the activities of CV Life
  9. To patrol the building regularly and report any problems/breakages to the Duty Manager.
  10. To attend any relevant meetings and forums as required.
  11. To assist in emergency situations in accordance with the procedures detailed in the company’s Health and Safety policy.
