Child Protection policy

The Creche follows the guidelines laid down by OFSTED. It is the policy of this establishment to show an awareness of the need for safety and well being for each child in our care.

Should we feel any cause for concern we will act immediately in an appropriate manner relevant to the circumstances at the time. on occasions this may mean contacting social services and OFSTED.

To ensure your child’s safety, please make sure we know your child is in the creche by registering, and signing your child in and out. If someone other than yourself will be collecting your child, you must let us know at the beginning of the session, this person must have a photo I.D with them.

Please could you always remember to close the door on entering and leaving the Creche. Children can stay for 90 minutes and parents must pick their children up on time.

Behaviour and Discipline Policy

Staff at the Centre believe in promoting positive behaviour, and encourage a socially acceptable level of behaviour appropriate to the children’s age. This includes self-discipline, consideration for oneself and other and the surrounding property.

Staff will alway treat the child with respect and reqard positive behaviour with praise and encouragement. The enviroment they play in will always be nurturing and safe.

Equal Opportunities

Sraff at the Centre are committed to providing equality of opportunities within the Centre and encourage children to respect and value themselves and each other using activites that reflect positively: gender, culture and disabilities. To us, individually of the child matters and is of great importance.

Children will be provided with aprons for messy activities. Please send your child in appropriate clothes that are easily removed for toileting. This also applies for ease of movement in the soft play area where clothing, such as jeans, aren’t appropriate.

Please refrain from sending your child wearing jewellery.

The Centre does not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to clothing.

Please do not bring your child to Creche if he/she is unwell. It is upsetting both for the child, the staff and the other children. Please do not bring the child back until they are fully recovered.
