CV Life has officially pledged its support to the Armed Forces community by signing the Armed Forces Covenant.
This week, CEO Paul Breed attended a signing ceremony held at Shire Hall in Warwick to mark the occasion, joining businesses and organisations dedicated to ensuring fair treatment for those who serve or have served in the UK Armed Forces, as well as their families.
He was joined by CV Life chairman and local sporting hero Dave Moorcroft, as well as Head of HR Lynne Bowell and CV Life’s former Recruitment and Retention officer Rachel Smith who was a driving force in arranging the pledge.
By signing the Covenant, CV Life commits to a range of supportive measures, from providing employment opportunities for veterans and reservists to creating inclusive policies that consider the unique needs of service personnel and their families.
Paul said after the signing: “Signing the Armed Forces Covenant is an important step for us at CV Life.
“We recognise the value that members of the Armed Forces bring to our communities and our workforce, as well as the sacrifices they’ve made in serving their country.
“This pledge is our way of showing that we are here to support them, both as a business and as part of the wider Coventry community.
“I’d also like to extend a huge thank you to Rachel Smith who has been fantastic in organising this pledge on CV Life’s behalf.”
The Covenant aims to prevent disadvantage in access to services for current and former Armed Forces members. As part of its pledge, CV Life will explore new ways to offer practical support, helping service families to thrive within the communities they serve.
Also attending the signing was leaders and representatives from a number of councils and businesses from around Coventry and Warwickshire.
