It was a proud day for CV Life on Saturday (29 June) as the organisation took part in the National Armed Forces Day event held in Coventry.
This annual celebration honours those who serve or have served in the armed forces, and it provided an excellent platform for CV Life to engage with the community, showcasing our venues, job opportunities, and significant World War II artefacts.
The organisation was invited to this prestigious event through connections with the Royal Naval Association and was a collaborative effort with Recruitment linking up with Herbert Art Gallery & Museum who contributed a remarkable collection of WWII artefacts. These historical pieces drew significant interest from the many ex-military personnel and their families who attended the event.
A highlight of the day was the impressive parade, which was a poignant reminder of the dedication and sacrifices of our armed forces. The event also provided the opportunity to meet the Mayor, adding a ceremonial touch to the day.
CV Life’s involvement gave the organisation an opportunity to demonstrate its ongoing efforts to support and engage with the armed forces community, aligning with the recent commitment we have made and the forthcoming official signing of the Armed Forces Covenant. This underscores CV Life’s dedication to offering employment and support to ex-military personnel and their families.
Rachel Smith, CV Life’s Recruitment and Retention Officer, attended the event.
She said: “National Armed Forces Day was an exceptional opportunity for us to connect with ex-military personnel and showcase the various opportunities CV Life offers. It allowed us to demonstrate our commitment of employment support to members of the Armed Forces community and promote being a forces friendly employer to ex-military and their families. We’re proud to support those who have served and look forward to building stronger relationships within this community.”
