Xcel Leisure Centre – 25m Pool Timetable

Xcel Leisure Centre first opened its doors in 2008, and ever since has offered fantastic swimming and outdoor facilities to the people of Coventry. In the south-west of the city, Xcel Leisure Centre places its focus on sport; football, badminton, cricket, netball and rugby all find a home here. Of course, the pool is second-to-none: the 25 metres and six lanes provide room for every swimmer!

Weekend Session Booking: Family and Parent and Toddler sessions

Customers wishing to attend ‘Family Fun’ and ‘Parent and Toddler’ weekend sessions, we’ve introduced a new booking system to help ensure your place.

To book these sessions, you’ll need to contact us three days prior these sessions either phoning on 024 7685 6956 or visiting in-centre.

For example: To book our 1:00pm – 1:45pm Family Fun session on Saturday, you’ll need to contact us on Wednesday.

Pool Updates:

Please see below the following updates to our timetable. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

  • On 1st and 2nd Monday of each month, our 3:00pm – 4:00pm session is unavailable due to a U3A booking.
  • On Sunday 17th November, there will be no P&T sessions running.
  • On Sunday 24th November, there will be no P&T sessions running.
  • On Sunday 1st December, no family fun’s or P&T sessions will be running.

(1) The whole pool may not be available during all sessions. (2) Must be a confident swimmer and be able to swim continuous laps. (3) Deep water only. (4) Male staff may be on duty during Ladies only sessions. (5) Shallow water only (½) Half pool is used. ( ¼ ) One Quarter pool is used. *This session may be cancelled due to a party booking. Please check the website for further details.

  • All places for weekday and adult swims are on a first come first serve basis, bands will only be released 15 minutes prior (this does not include weekend family funs and P&T)
  • On Bank Holiday, swim times may change.
  • The Foundation does not provide any flotation aids during public swimming sessions. Armbands can be purchased at Reception.
  • It is the responsibility of the adult who is attending with a junior or a carer, who is only there assist, someone in care to ensure they are supervised when attending these sessions.
  • Please ensure when attending with a child that you abide by our Adult to Child ratio, as per our swimming policy.
