We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to support the team on a cover basis. As a waterpark supervisor, the successful candidate will supervise our waterpark, ensuring customers experience is at the highest level.
- You will need to have experience in a supervisory level and ideally experience in a leisure environment.
- You will need to be proactive, attentive to detail and have the ability to multi task in a busy environment.
- You will also be required to hold an NPLQ.
The principle place of employment will be the Wave Waterpark and the successful applicant will be required to work on a rota basis to include early mornings, evenings and weekends, therefore a flexible attitude to shift work is essential.
We have 2 positions available with different hours in both term time and school holidays:
Position 1: 21.17 hours per week during term time, 40 hours per week during school holidays.
Position 2: 4.6 hours per week during term time, 36.3 hours per week during school holidays.

Job Description

Responsible for: Waterpark Assistants
Scope
Coventry Sports Foundation and Culture Coventry are independent organisations who work collaboratively through CV Life, so that this Job Description as a CV Life document extends to cover the employment contracts held with either Culture Coventry Trust or Coventry Sports Foundation.
Overall purpose and objective of the role
To be responsible for the safety of users in all pools, attractions and features within the Waterpark and the supervision of all waterpark staff on duty.
Main duties of the role:
- To manage and lead staff to work to their full potential and take pride in the Centre, creating a culture where high standards are embedded within the team.
- Ensure that all rotations are moving accordingly and that all Lifeguards are following the guidelines as set by the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and Pool Safety Operating Procedures (PSOP).
- To monitor video surveillance of all areas of the waterpark to ensure all procedures are being adhered to.
- To ensure that all services are delivered with the highest standards of customer care.
- To ensure that the cleanliness and appearance of the waterpark and changing facilities is maintained to a high standard at all times.
- To undertake regular walk throughs around the waterpark area throughout the shift where possible, to check on safety concerns, customer issues and monitor staff performance.
- To monitor mechanical and electrical systems within the waterpark i.e. pool alarms, pool pumps and carry out the correct procedures upon activation.
- To assist the management team ensuring that all equipment is kept safe, clean and in excellent working condition through the monitoring of daily, weekly and monthly checks.
- To be responsible for the daily set up and closure procedures of the waterpark attractions, including cleaning, and equipment checks.
- To ensure adequate standards of health and safety for all staff and users of the waterpark at all times. Respond to all emergency situations in accordance with the procedures detailed in CV Life’s Health and Safety policy and report to the Duty Manager on shift
- To solve problems quickly and efficiently resulting in minimum impact to operations.
- Ensure that any changes to the operation of the waterpark is communicated to all Lifeguards, Waterpark Assistants, and other departments as required.
- Understand, implement and adhere to all policies, procedures and safety guidelines for all aspects of the waterpark venue.
- To be responsible for monitoring, counselling, supporting, advising, coaching and the development of staff.
- To attend training/refresher courses as appropriate to maintain qualifications and standards of good practice and to assist the Duty Manager in the management, delivery, recording and monitoring of staff training.
- To undertake a variety of administrative tasks, maintain records and produce reports.
