The Alan Higgs Centre

The 50 metre pool is located at the back of the building where the indoor 3G pitch once was. Along with a new pool, the changing room facilities have also been updated to get yourself ready for your swim.

Not only is the pool a huge 50 meters long, the floor also moves, just like the pool at Xcel Leisure Centre! This means it can be comfortably used by all swimming abilities. The floor can be raised to deck level for those who would like to paddle and can also be dropped all the way to two metres. 

The 50m pool is ideal for all events, big or small, due to the high-tech scoring board and the 500-person viewing gallery.

Although the pool is large, you shouldn’t be intimidated by it. Occasionally it will be divided into smaller sections for particular swim sessions. The pool is available to all Lifestyles members along with the public too.

Please see below the following updates to our Pool Timetable throughout the year. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

• On Friday 19th April, due to essential maintenance, there is no water supply until 4pm. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
  
• Weekend sessions – Unless stated, no public sessions will be running on Saturdays and Sundays due to special events taking place. Please visit either Xcel Leisure Centre or Centre AT7 for public sessions or laned sessions at The Wave : https://cvlife.co.uk/term-time-timetable .
