The Wave Destination Venue is looking for Waterpark Assistants who shares a passion for fun and providing excellent customer service!

You will be part of a team who will be responsible for delivering a friendly, diligent and professional experience to all. You will be  supervising activities, maintaining standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the pool area, and ensuring that our customers are always in a safe and healthy environment during their visit.

We want our customers to have the best possible experience and go away with a positive impression of The Wave Destination Venue and CVLife.

You will have both great communication skills and amazing customer service. It is essential that you are an enthusiastic person with a willingness to learn new skills. This role is a great start to working towards becoming a Lifeguard with development opportunities, and ultimately a career within the Leisure Industry. We have Lifeguard courses running all year round.

The principle place of employment is The Wave Waterpark in Coventry.

We are looking for someone to work during the weekends, school holidays and occasionally to cover. Applicants must be at least 16 and left school (legal school leaving age). There is a variety of part time hours available ranging from Saturdays 10.00am-6.00pm during term time and Monday-Sunday 10.00am-6.00pm during school holidays.

Job Description

Reporting to: Duty Manager and Waterpark Supervisor

Scope

Coventry Sports Foundation and Culture Coventry Trust are operating as CV Life, so that the scope of this Job Description as a CV Life document extends to cover the employment contracts held with either Coventry Sports Foundation or Culture Coventry Trust.

Overall purpose and objective of the role

To assist the Water Park Supervisor & Duty Manager in the daily operation of the Sport Centre’s facilities and activities

Main duties of the role:

1. To attend training/refresher courses as appropriate to maintain knowledge and understanding of the Waterpark facilities.
2. To help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the Centre and its surrounding site.
3. To assist and provide relevant information to all customers using the facility.
4. To patrol the Waterpark and changing facilities regularly and report any problems/breakages to a supervisor or Duty Manager.
5. Operating Slides ensuring all safety measures are being followed/Issued.
6. To provide assistance in the delivery of centre activities and programmes.
7. To attend any relevant meetings and forums as required.
8. To assist in emergency situations in accordance with the procedures detailed in the company’s Health and Safety policy.
9. To provide and deliver excellent customer service as an ambassador to the company.
